Royal Romance*Pt. 2* (And 3)

Hey Guys,

Sorry I didn't get to post last night, I was pretty tired by bedtime so I had completely forgotten. Since I'm a day behind on this crazy week, I'll tell about what happened yesterday and today to get you up to speed, and both days were doozies!

Well to start, on Tuesday morning Peach, the Bros., PomPom and myself had been invited to have breakfast at the castle, by Dominic of all people. So being good guests we accepted the offer, and once again I had to go through the emotional roller coaster waiting to meet Dominic. Once we got there King Richard greeted us again and brought us inside and we walked to the dining hall. And of course, Dominic was waiting for us there. Like yesterday he greeted the group, and paid special attention to me. By that I mean he escorted me to my chair and seated me... next to him(of course...). After all of that, breakfast went on as usual, Peach and King Richard went on and on about each other's kingdoms while Mario and Luigi chipped in once and a while. I would speak up sometimes when he or Dominic tried to talk to me, but other than that I was still nervous. But here's where it gets cringy guys. So there was this bowl of bread that was sitting in front of me, and I decided to reach out and grab one, but at the same time Dominic went for a piece of bread while he wasn't looking... AND OUR HANDS TOUCHED IN THE BREAD BOWL!! OMG it was the most cliche romantic gesture in the book and we just did it! It took a couple seconds for us to realize what we were doing and we quickly pulled back our hands and looked at each other surprised. I turned into a tomato of course, but I could almost see Dominic's cheeks turn rosy too, he even looked away all bashful-like. I looked over at the Bros. and they both had quickly looked down from watching us, and I could see small smirks growing under their mustaches. Great... I guess shippers start early. The rest of Tuesday went relatively well. Later in the afternoon he took me with him to a small garden pavilion that was just outside. He told me that his late mother used to care for the garden herself, aww. That somber moment almost set a mood in the whole pavilion, not a sad one per-se, but a peaceful one. So peaceful in fact, we both sat down and took it all in, I even almost fell asleep on his shoulder a couple times because I felt so relaxed. That was pretty much what we did for the rest of the day until we all went back to the hotel. That was the first time I started to genuinely feel comfortable around Dominic.
The moment of contact. The eyes speak VOLUMES
in this one!
Then today... let's just say it got, interesting. It was after breakfast and Peach and the others were with the King discussing relations for Ellantia with The Mushroom Kingdom, and Dominic took me away with him strolling through the halls. While we walked and talked about each other's accomplishments, we heard a shrill voice call out, "~Oh cousin! I'm hoooome!" The second Dominic heard that he stiffened like a board and went pale(poor guy). We both turned to see a dark-haired girl come sashaying into the hallway like she owned the place. Once she got closer and saw me standing next to him, her expression instantly turned cold and she said, "And WHO are you?" while she pointed at me with her fan like a yard stick. Dominic came back to his senses and quickly stood in between us guarding me and replied, "Cassandra, you're not supposed to be here. Your'e trip was meant to last until the end of the week!" Cassandra only looks at him and shoots back at me and said, "Well! I couldn't possibly miss a day without MY dear cousin! Especially with the likes of... her around." Just from the way they talked to each other I could tell they had some kind of beef with each other, and eventually Dominic got Cassandra to back off, and she turned and walked away to presumably her quarters. When I asked him who she was, all he told me was to not worry about her and stay away from her as much as I could. Um... okay? That already is setting off red flags for me, something serious must have happened between them for Dominic to act like this, it was almost like a switch went off! But anyways the rest of the day flew by and here we are back at the hotel. After what happened, I'm brutally curious about Cassandra and her history with Dominic, I may try to ask him about it if he's willing to talk.

Well, I never thought that I would get involved in a family dispute while I was here, especially one that HE never anticipated. Hopefully the two of us will get around it and make it through this week. I'd better jet for tonight, I need to rest up for tomorrow. Blog ya soon guys.

- Dana ;)
I don't want to be a nosy-Nancy into this, but I can't help
but feel there is something fishy about Cassandra...
