Life of a Teenage Princess Pt. 2

Hey Guys!

   Happy Labor Day! Hopefully you all had a relaxing weekend off! Mario and Peach still aren't back yet so it's just been Luigi and I at the house, and we haven't really been able to do too much out of the ordinary(which explains the lack of weekend posts as of late). However I thought I could take the time on this day off from work to talk about my job again. I know I already brushed on this, but that post turned into more of a origin story than a job description. So this time I'll actually talk about what I do as Princess of Isle Delfino.

   Let's start with the basic stuff first. On a regular basis I am in charge of the entire island's welfare. This includes care of the citizens and visitors, the trade system, environmental stability of the island, the safety of the surrounding ocean's waters, and the planning of events and political meetings. It was quite a bit to manage when I first came back to the throne, but luckily I had some great tutors and guides to help me get reacquainted. I also overlook and monitor any and all criminal activity and the judgement of such. You really think I'm going to let something like the Goop Incident happen again? NO SIR! To make this easier, I commissioned the construction of multiple Shine Towers across the major locales of the island such as Bianco Hills, Gelato Beach, and others.

   So all of that is the generic stuff that I do. Now I get to talk about what I actually do! Due to my powers being connected to the Shine Sprites, I not only protect them and keep tabs on their power levels, but I can also use them as additional pairs of eyes and can communicate with them. Those Shine Towers I had built? Those allow the Shines to gather in safe spots across the island instead of being restricted to the Gate in Delfino Plaza while still maintaining proper power. They can also watch over the areas they reside in and I can use a Hub system at the Palace to have visual access through them. It's almost kind of an Omniscience sort of system, but only to make things more convenient for me!

   Not only do I protect the Shine Sprites, I also protect myself and my people from danger. Thanks to living with the Bros. for so long, I've grown to be strong enough to fight against any would-be threats to my island. Whether it's a simple ne'er-do-well thief making off with merchandise or a legit calamity that threatens the population, I'll stand in it's way to stop it. I guess I've always had that helper mentality. When I was little I had the overwhelming desire to help people, even if I couldn't do much to help the cause, which usually had me in risky situations. My protector status could stem from the fact that I used to be a being called Aurora Delfinia, who was slated to guard and keep the Earth from harm(I'll go into more detail in the future I promise!), so I'm simply performing the task that I was destined to do... or something like that. I obviously extend my hero work to the Mushroom Kingdom as well from time to time, lending a hand to the Bros. when they need it.

   And of course living on a tropical island dubbed one of the world's top tourist destinations, you gotta have a little fun! I get to do the planning for most of the traditional events that occur on the island year round, whether it be the Watermelon Contest, the Fluff Festival, or even the End of Summer Festival coming up! It's always a blast to plan these because I get to be involved with the community, and celebrate with them afterwards! I also plan parties and formal events at the Palace too, it helps me keep ties with more upper class and Political individuals(even though a lot of them are just gigantic house-warming parties).

   Well, that's it for now! It's about time I got back onto these topics after so long! Sorry for not having a picture this time, I didn't have a good recent Princess pic apart from the one that I posted on the first Princess post!
