It's March?! WEEGEE TIME!! XD

Hey guys!

And holy crap it's March already?! This only means two things: everything is green this month and the FREAKING NINTENDO SWITCH IS COMING OUT!! *Ahem* Sorry, got carried away in the moment. What I wanted to say is that now since everything and everyone is decked out in green, I thought I would take the time to talk about my favorite guy in green, Luigi! He and I share a relationship that is even different than the one I have with Mario, in that we act more like a brother-sister pair instead. I want to tell you guys the stories I have being with Luigi and how close we've been since day one!

It all started after my accident with the Palace Raid when I was five. After Mario swooped in and saved me and PomPom, he brought us to his and Luigi's house. By the time we got there though PomPom and I were pretty tired and falling asleep. When Mario went inside, Luigi was waiting on the sofa for him to come back. I guess my brooch's distress signal woke them both up, oops. Anyways Luigi got up and came over to Mario to check on him to find tiny little me cradled in Mario's arms. Luigi tells me that he loved me the minute he saw me, but hey I'm lovable no matter what so that was obvious! When Luigi first approached me, I was waking up and my vision was a little fuzzy, so when I see the blurry silhouettes of Mario and Luigi side by side I thought there were two Marios. He had to explain to me that he and Luigi were twins and because of that they looked alike. Eventually Mario was exhausted from the rescue and wanted to freshen up, and Luigi offered to hold onto me in the meantime. So Mario handed me and PomPom over to Luigi and went upstairs to get some rest. I was still pretty groggy so I didn't really pay attention to the switch, and that's important. You see when I was little, I used to be painfully shy when it came to meeting new people. It even took me awhile to warm up to Mario and Princess Peach when they arrived on Isle Delfino during the Graffiti Incident. But when Luigi was holding me that night the connection was instant, albeit I was a little fuzzy in the head. Anyways while Mario was upstairs Luigi walked with me back to the sofa and sat down with me in his lap, for the rest of the night until I fell asleep he and I just had some small talk back and forth. He would quietly ask me a question or comment about something and I responded with a mumbled yes or a no. Eventually Luigi and I did fall asleep on the sofa, and I guess Mario came back downstairs to check on us, because the morning after we woke up with a blanket over us.

And that was the first true interaction that I had with Luigi. But I have another memory of him from my younger days that is pretty awesome too. It had been several months since PomPom and I had officially moved into Mario and Luigi's house and called it home. On one morning though, Mario came into my room and woke me up early, for what he claimed was, a very special day. Apparently, when all of the Nintendo reps gather for Smash Bros., they celebrate a holiday they made up called "Sidekick Appreciation Day". Everyone would find those who were the Player 2's and Supporting Partners and take the time to celebrate them. And I guess when everyone goes home, they take the holiday with them. Awesome right? So after Mario explained to me Sidekick Day I got very excited and asked if I could celebrate PomPom too(I was freaking adorable back then!). Mario then took me and PomPom out to Toad Town to run some errands to pick up groceries for later that night. While we were out, we swung by Daisy's flower shop to pick up some flowers she wanted to give to Luigi. And yes, this was when I first met Daisy, and we clicked as soon as we found common ground in gardening! Anyways we picked up the flowers and I spotted in a window some greeting cards in a novelty shop. Mario asked me if I wanted to get a card for Luigi, but instead I asked if I could make him a card myself. Mario agreed and we went to one last store to pick up some paper and crayons to color with. Later that evening, Mario and Luigi were sitting at the table talking about the day and watching me color on the floor with PomPom. Once I was finished I gave Luigi my card to him. I really wish I had the card on me right now to show you, but it was so cute! I drew pictures of me and Luigi all over the card and I crudely spelled "Happy Sidekick Day!" on it in bright orange. Luigi didn't care about that and loved the card anyways. While Luigi was admiring the card, I remembered something else and went into my room to grab a box that I had brought with me from the Palace. When I gave it to him and he opened it, it was like deja vu. I had given him the second Shine Sprite brooch, like the one I had given to Mario before. After I explained why I am giving it to him, he was so touched and amazed. He then put it on saying that he will never take it off, and he's still kept that promise today!

Well, those are my two stories of my best memories with Luigi. There are plenty more moments that I had with him that were either hilarious, intimate or even challenging. To epic gaming sessions to sports to fun adventures, Luigi will always be my adorkable big brother that I never had before! I'd better wrap this up, I need to get ready to head out to the Bros.' house on Friday, and supposedly it will only be Luigi and I at the house this weekend! What a fun coincidence! To make things even more fun, I'm going to show up at the house in my Luigi outfit. I wanna see how quickly he'll catch on to what I'm doing! XD Blog ya soon guys!
