Sorry for the wait! I didn't realize that these posts are in demand! In honesty though, the entire month of April has been VERY busy on my end so far. Spring vacation season started on Isle Delfino and everyone is hustling to keep up with the guests while I'm at the center of it all trying to keep everyone and everything in line! If you're curious, here's a checklist that I've been following for the past month now:
1. Check on the condition of the Shine Gates and the Shine Sprites.
2. Address the castle servants and assign them to their posts.
3. Visit every major landmark on the island and address the various town leaders.
4. Visit Ricco Harbor and check the quality of the imported and exported goods.
5. Address the Delfino Police for the daily report on any crimes or misdemeanors.
6. Observe and check the health and quality of the various plant life.
7. Check the progress of Pinna Park's annual maintenance hiatus.
8. Round up the Cataquacks on Gelato Beach.
9. Meet and greet various VIP guests.
10. Continue my magic studies.
11. Meet with the local Yoshies to talk about the Delivery Service project.
12. Meet with Peach and Daisy to discuss royal matters.(and maybe have some fun afterward!)
13. Meet Pauline for vocal practice and dance classes.
14. Resume my tennis training.
15. Be a good girlfriend and call Dominic. *Kyun<3*
16. Call the Bros. <3
17. Meet with Sis for evening tea.
18. Read PomPom her bedtime stories.
... Okay, so maybe the second half of that list is more personal stuff, but you get the point. Most of this is either part of the daily routine of running the kingdom or just me keeping my ducks in a row. Hopefully by May all this chaos will be mostly under control, but I can't guarantee anything. All I can say is thank the STARS that PomPom and Midnight are here! I've gotten very close to burning out multiple times this past month alone.
I guess I can explain what a couple of these list items are about. First is the Shine Sprites and the Gates. I don't know if I had explained this in the past, but there are now multiple Shine Gates at all the major locations of Isle Delfino. I say "Gate" but they're more like some kind of radio tower for Shines. It's just a way to provide the skittish little things somewhere to converge instead of the main Gate in Delfino Plaza, while at the same time they'll continue providing power and protection wherever they choose to go. Next is Pinna Park, which always does it's annual maintenance hiatus during the Winter season when it's not so busy. However it just reopened during the first week of April, so that's nice.
Next is about my meetings with Yoshi, and the new Delivery Service that will be introduced to the Island. Long story short, I ran into some Yoshies that lived here and discovered something unheard of... they were BORED!! Isn't that absurd?! I've never heard such a thing in my life! After talking to them to understand why, it turns out that they've already done all of the fun stuff on the Island and ran out of things to do. It wasn't like they don't like it here, they just wanted something to do to keep them busy, like a job. That's when I got the idea to start a Yoshi Delivery Service across the Island! You can kinda think of it like your guy's version of Door Dash or Amazon Prime, except it's Yoshies that work the transit! Of course we have trucks and boats that make bigger deliveries already, but this service could be more suited for smaller packages or for locations that are harder to get to by car. Doesn't this sound cool or what? It's still in it's planning phase for now, but the plan is to get a couple of units ready by Summer. So that's something I'm looking forward to!
So yeah, nothing completely out of the ordinary is going on at the Island, and of course I'll be leaving for the Mushroom Kingdom to see the Bros. tomorrow. If there's anything interesting going on there I'll let you know! As far as I know Bowser's still taking his lumps from Odyssey and has been laying low for a while, which has provided everyone with well deserved peace and quiet... for now. But with all that said, it was nice to finally blog after such a hectic month! Plus it seems like most of my posts are either stories of the past or some kind of lore-teaching segment, so it's a welcome change of pace to talk about something in the now, you know?
Well, I need to take off. Today's checklist isn't done just yet! Also, let me take a second and thank you guys so so SO much for the support! It's really people like you that help me keep going in everything I do! Love you lots guys, blog ya soon!
