Happy December! This year went SO fast, it's crazy! It seems like yesterday I was talking about Luigi in March, and now were getting close to 2018! Nothing too crazy has been going on, apart from the fact that I have a doting boyfriend now! (Dominic says hi BTW) Speaking of which he and I have been keeping in touch back and forth about our holiday plans, and he says he wants to visit me in the Mushroom Kingdom at Christmas! So that's something I'll be looking forward to! There's just something about Christmas time in particular that just feels so nostalgic and cozy, I love it! Winter itself on the other hand... meh. Don't get me wrong, Winter weather is pretty, just as long as I'm looking at it through a window in a nice warm house. Given that I'm an island girl who's used to the tropical heat, people often understand my thoughts on snow. I also just realized how awkward it is to talk about Winter when it's not even Winter yet...
Anyways I thought I could recap you on this past weekend! Right now it actually has started to snow in The Mushroom Kingdom, which makes it a stark contrast to the weather on Isle Delfino, I almost forgot to put on my Winter outfit! Seriously though, Isle Delfino's version of Winter is a 20 degree temperature drop from the 80's to the low 60's, lame right? Later Friday evening, PomPom and I got our Winter stuff on and hopped in our Warp Pipe that connects to the Bros. house, and that first impact of crisp, cold air is like a wall! We popped out the other side and found the Bros. outside just finishing up the final touches on the house decorations! It was all lit up so nice and pretty, they even had lights and fake Starman lanterns hanging on the trees around the house! Pair all of that with the snow on the ground and the night sky, it really felt like Christmas! While PomPom flew around the area looking at the decorations, the Bros. and I talked out on the lawn and took in the sights. Mario said that they had started last Wednesday so they could finish it before I got there. Cute right? They timed it perfectly! But then while I was admiring the lights, I turned to look over at the Bros. to see snowballs in their hands and smirks on their faces. The scene went from "Ahhh" to "HUH?!" in seconds flat, and the next thing I knew we were pelting each other with snowballs on the lawn. PomPom swooped in to help me to make the fight even, but it didn't help the fact that the Bros. have experience throwing snowballs with Ice Flowers, so it was practically a one-sided match. After about ten minutes of the snow war, I got too cold and flagged out. Perfect timing too, because I was soaked from getting hit by so many snowballs!
Throughout the rest of the weekend we just spent our time walking around town looking at the decorations, and pitched in to help if we could. We even stopped by Peach's Castle Sunday night for a small get together, and the Castle was GORGEOUS!! There was garland and lights and wreaths everywhere! It was stunning! We all mainly sat by a fireplace and talked about holiday plans and New Years. All this talk about Christmas gets me so excited, especially now that I'll be the one with expected company! After we finished our planning, PomPom and I had to go back to Isle Delfino, and I spent all day Monday thawing myself under the sun! XD
Well, that's all I wanted to say, I need to go and do my Christmas shopping after work. I'm stuck on what I should get Dominic, I want it to be meaningful since it's our first Christmas together... Oh well, I'll think of something. Blog ya soon guys, and Happy Holidays!

Wait! I'm confused! Will Luigi get in trouble for impersonating royalty from a different country? I read The Royal Romance but I didn't see any mention of the impersonation beyond the initial letter inviting everyone to Ellantia. I need closure! One would think that masquerading as the son of the head of a monarchical society would have some negative consequences politically and diplomatically. Did they know that it was Luigi in disguise? Was he tried? Even if they didn't, did Ellantia ever investigate further into the apparent doppelganger of their prince that could still be running loose in the world? Did Dominic raw Ms. Corona during the visit? Did Kamek get in any trouble from Bowser for associating with and aiding Luigi during The Princely Disguise? Was Kamek investigated by Ellantia as well? It's a wonder this didn't spark some kind of international incident!

Whoa! whoa! WHOA! Take a breather! You don't have to worry about Luigi! Remember that in the story Mario and I both busted him and Kamek for the disguise, and I made sure that the both of them explained themselves to my court to avoid any confusion. Edward then sent out an announcement hoping it reached the ears that needed to hear it. Remember, when Luigi was disguised he had NO clue that there was a real Dominic out there, and supposedly Kamek didn't either(even though I didn't get quite a clear answer from him...)
DeleteOn top of that King Richard and Dominic were both VERY understanding of what happened. In fact, during the times Mario, Luigi and Peach were with Richard while Dominic and I hung out was so that Luigi could explain everything(or maybe Mario forced him to!). But King Richard is such a charismatic person that he just laughed it off and dubbed it a kindly gesture between siblings. He even jokingly took it as a compliment that Luigi used his son as a base for a disguise! Even I was surprised everything went well as it did, but Ellantia is such a peaceful country that I didn't really expect a sort of dispute to brew up.
So! In short, yeah I didn't get into all the details as much as I should have, but it was so much of that boring political royal stuff that would probably bore most of you guys. Sorry if there was any confusion! I hoped that answered any of your questions. Happy Holidays!
