I know I've just started this blog, but I feel like I should've told you about my power and abilities at day one. So for today's post it's going to be all about that very topic: my magic, but to be more specific I'll talk about it's origins and the different forms I use. Welcome to Magic 101!
To begin, my magic originated from an ancient power that was wielded by my previous form, Aurora Delfinia(I'll explain in another post don't worry!). By definition, I have "dominion" over an overarching power known as the Lights of The Earth. Simply meaning I have access to the power of the Earth's Sun, the Shine Sprites of Isle Delfino, and the Northern Lights that the Sun emits, or the auroras. After I reincarnated(again I'll explain later!), however, I developed different powers that interweave with my core magic. To not make this post go too long, I'll briefly explain via bullet points what each power is.
- Shine Power/ Shining Spells - These three spells from the Shine Sprites were originally protection spells to keep me safe when I was really little. The three spells are: Shining Shield(a force field), Shining Scream(I emit a supersonic scream), and Shining Illumination(where I literally glow as bright and as hot as the Sun). Until I developed my real powers when I was nine, these three spells were my lifeline. Every so often I'll come back to these spells, but I mainly use them now to fight bad guys.
- Aurora Power - This was my original power when I was Aurora Delfinia. I use this power on a more regular basis to fight and for basic use. But when it first manifested at nine years old it came in all at once and my body almost couldn't handle it and it led to it being unstable for a little while. After I received my wand with Rosalina's help and a large spell book my power stabilized and I could use it properly. There are a ton of spells under this power, but some that I use the most are: Aurora Blast(a shot of magic from my wand or hands), Sleeping Aurora(a sleeping spell), Aurora Summon(creates a display of the Northern Lights in the sky, mainly aesthetic), Aurora Slash(The orb on my wand glows super bright and I can use it as a sword), Aurora Ribbon(a sort of magic grapple), Aurora Punch(basically my form of a Falcon Punch), and Wand Manipulation(my wand can transform into a variety of tools like a hammer or parasol, and when I'm not using it it becomes a ring on my hand).
- Fairy Power - Your basic set of fairy magic with a couple more spells to make it more interesting. These spells are a Shrinking Spell(speaks for itself), Telekinesis(move stuff with my magic), 2 Way Telepathy(can read and reply to the thoughts of others), Fairy Fusion(PomPom can enter my pendant and give me her wings to fly), Invisibility(I use this sparingly), Fairy Glow Manipulation(what fairy doesn't glow?), and Teleport(I can create portals and I can travel through them). I developed this power right around the same time I got my wand, so I figured there was some kind of connection.
- Opal Power - My birthstone is the Opal. And there is a special kind in my world called Aurora Opals. Supposedly after my death as Aurora Delfinia some of my powers had dispersed across the world and crystallized into Aurora Opals. I have found several of these Opals already, with one being in my wand and four others in my jewelry. After finding these Opals, my powers overall have improved and amplified in strength.
- Cosmic Power - This portion of my magic is a different beast entirely. I would have to save the full details of this for another post. To summarize it up, this power, or rather this form, is the strongest I have ever been. This form came around after I had found an Aurora Opal for my new pendant. Originally I could only use it in the dream world, but after certain events with the Dream Stone on Pi'illo Island I can now wish for this form to appear at any time. Apart from enhanced strength and increased speed, there are even a couple spells exclusive to this form, they are Shining Barrier(a stronger form of Shining Shield), Aurora Healing(I can collectively heal multiple people or a landscape), and my strongest spell Shining Soleil(a gigantic beam of magic combining all of my different powers together). Again I'll discuss this into depth later on, but for now this is all I will say about this.
- Super Power - This is what I call the basic abilities all heroes in the Mushroom Kingdom use. I can do the works like punches, kicks, stomps, ground pounds, and wall kicks. The only thing I have a problem with still is using power-ups like mushrooms and flowers. Since my body is not used to this sort of power my magic rejects the effect of standard power-ups, which is REALLY annoying. However the only one that my magic will accept is the Starman, pretty weird. And yes, Mario and Luigi are responsible for teaching me how to use Super Power. They are pretty much the reason why I'm able to fight and save myself from villains and keep from getting kidnapped! ;)
- Miscellaneous Spells and Powers - I have a few spells that I have developed over the years that don't exactly fit into any exact category. These spells are Self Healing(I can heal any of my injuries and illnesses instantly as long as I treat them properly), the Welding Torch spell that I talked about in my story post, and the magic connection that my pendant and a pair of brooches I gave to the Bros.(I'll explain another time!).
Ugh! So much text! I think I'll take each of these sections and break them down into more depth later down the road. Until then I need to go and rest my brain for a couple hours, blog ya soon!
