Hi Guys!
It's Dana again! So after I finished my work yesterday I got a chance to call the Bros. to check on them. I know I visit them every weekend, but sometimes I just can't wait for Friday! We were chatting on the phone and they brought up a situation they had on Tuesday where they had to escape an Airship raid(idk hero stuff I guess). Them talking about it reminded me about the time all three of us actually had to get out of a dungeon situation back at Bowser's Castle. I always LOVE telling this story, so I figured I'd post it here for you guys to read! Quick warning though: this post is really, REALLY LONG today!! Enjoy guys! Blog ya soon!

Story: One late night, the Bros., my Fluff Fairy friend PomPom and myself got caught sneaking into Bowser's Castle. After some scuffs and scrapes we were eventually captured, and they locked us up into two separate dungeon rooms; me and PomPom in one and the guys in another. And to take excessive measures Bowser told his guards to chain us to the walls! What a pansy! Later in the night, when the castle was falling asleep, I decided to take matters into my own hands and set an escape plan into motion. First, PomPom fused into my pendant, giving me her wings to fly and shrunk me down to fairy size. Next, I then cast a sleeping spell on everyone in the dungeon (except for Mario and Luigi) that puts all the guards into an even deeper sleep.
Once everyone was out, I then flew out of the door window to their room next to me. When I get in there though, I see that the guys are both fast asleep on the wooden benches without my spell's help. I didn't want to disturb them so I made sure to lower my fairy glow and quietly approached them. As I get closer to Luigi, who sleeps way deeper than Mario, I see his shackle on his left wrist and the chain that draped over him and attached to the wall above. My next step was to free him, so I pull out my wand and I constrict the magic blast to turn it into my own personal welding torch. Luckily Luigi's arm was dangling over the side below him, so I got up close without being detected and began to weld. At first I only went a little ways in to check the depth of the torch, I didn't want to go too deep or I would've scorched Luigi's wrist! He would NOT have liked that! Anyways I got the torch just right and I proceeded with the welding process. It took awhile, and I had to mad focus on not making too much noise. There were even a couple times where Luigi or Mario moved and just about scared the light out of me and I had to stop!
After what felt like forever I got to the bottom of the huge shackle, the weld was deep enough that Luigi could pop it off himself, but still stayed on until then. Once I was finished with Luigi's shackle I double-checked on him to see if he was still asleep, and was getting ready to go over to Mario. But as I turned to fly over there I heard Luigi stir behind me and was waking up. PANIC!! All I could do was quickly hide under his bench as he awoke and sat up with his legs dangling over the side. All the while the old bench was creaking and moaning underneath him. At first Luigi didn't say anything, all he did was look over at Mario and then out the window with a sigh. After he stretched and yawned he was going back to sleep when he stopped and noticed my welds on his shackle. I gave him a few seconds to think about it and then I finally came out from under the bench. He looked surprised at first, but once he realized it was me he relaxed and gave out his hand for me to rest on. He even brought me up close for a hug on his face! *blush*
Anyways I had explained everything to him and that I needed to go and weld Mario's shackle, and he happily obliged and left me be to do my work. I then flew over to Mario and his shackle, which was on his right arm this time, while Luigi watched me. Initially everything was going fine, but as I was bringing my wand to the shackle Mario stirred and pulled his arm away from me and tucked it underneath his body. Really dude?! I just shook my head annoyed and looked at Luigi as he chuckled quietly at me. At that point I was getting tired and really wanted to get out of that musty castle, so I decided to just fly up to Mario's face and try to wake him up. I first landed on his nose and waited for a reaction... nothing. I tried again floating back up and landing on his nose a little more firmly... still nothing! I figured he was just messing with me like he always does, but he had to have been a really good actor that night to pull it off... or I was just clueless... either one.
After a couple more minutes I had enough and figured the only way I was getting him to wake up was to give him a good bop on the nose. So I backed up a little to get a good distance from him and lined myself up like a dart. But right as I flew forward, Mario suddenly pulled his hat down in front of him and I got a face full of red "M" logo, rolled off the bill of his hat, and was flung backwards onto the bench. It spooked me and PomPom so bad that she unfused from my pendant and my wings disappeared! As this happened I could hear Luigi off to the side trying so hard to contain his laughter. I looked up at Mario and all I see is him flicking his hat back into place, smugly grinning at me like the troll he is and said, "Can I help you?". The both of them started laughing at me and I just rolled my eyes at them as PomPom and I picked ourselves up and fused back together.
I explained to Mario what I was doing and, with a yawn and stretch, sat up on the bench and offered his shackle to me. This time though he let me rest on his hand instead so I didn't have to fly, which was nice. A couple minutes pass and I finished the weld, and the guys both pulled their shackles off with a pop. As they got their shackles off I went out of the room to find the key to the door. Once we got the door open and stepped out, I had to remind them of the sleeping guards. Some of them looked like they were in the middle of some task and dropped where they were, sprawled across the floor. The guys carefully walked out of the dungeon and through a warp pipe outside. When we were all out and had traveled a ways from the castle I finally grew back to normal size and PomPom once again unfused from my pendant. As soon as we finished the guys met on both sides of me with huge hugs and laughs of relief. After celebrating we headed back to their house for the night. Needless to say we all slept in that morning!
