You wouldn't believe what happened this past weekend! I had the craziest adventure, and it all took place in a world inside a chandelier! I'm not kidding!! I was just attending some royal business in the Palace throne room when the crystal chandelier on the ceiling was emitting some strange light from the center stone. PomPom and I tried taking a closer look, but we were then blinded by the light.
When the light faded, it seemed like we were in a throne room, but not on Isle Delfino! PomPom and I started to look around when I saw this pretty gem shard on the ground. When I picked it up, it started to glow, and I heard someone speak! As soon as this happened though a group of guards made out of gemstones came out of nowhere and surrounded us! Then this girl stepped through the wall of guards and demanded I give her the gem shard. Of course I refused, and she pulled out a strange looking staff and prepared to attack me! Just as she was about to cast some spell on us, the gem shard emitted a powerful glow, and we were transported outside!
Once everything settled down, I tried to get the gem to speak to me again. Not only did it respond, a spirit of another girl projected itself outside it! She thanked me for saving her and introduced herself as Krystal, a priestess who was responsible for protecting The Great Diamond. I wasn't too sure on what she was talking about so she proceeded to explain that the land we were in was a place called Diadem, and The Great Diamond was a powerful relic that protected the land from evil. I then asked Krystal what happened before I got there, and she told me how Tabitha, the girl PomPom and I saw earlier with the wand, was Krystal's colleague as a priestess of Diadem. At first they were friends, but that changed when Tabitha had begun to abuse her power and authority, and was stripped of her status, while Krystal was given full reins as the sole priestess. As they were escorting Tabitha away, she broke free and escaped to the wilds where she disappeared for some time. But she then returned wielding the Prism Staff, a powerful artifact that she had stolen from it's temple. She threatened to destroy The Great Diamond and was bent on becoming Diadem's Queen, but Krystal bravely stood in her way. In retaliation, Tabitha cast a spell on Krystal that had imprisoned her inside The Great Diamond, and then proceeded to split the Diamond into pieces, splitting apart Krystal's psyche with it!
After she finished her story, she confirmed that the gem shard that PomPom and I had found is in fact a piece of the shattered Great Diamond, and that the Krystal that I saw inside it was only a mere part of a whole person. I felt so bad for her! And I wanted to find a way to help her and Diadem. Krystal then told me that, now that I have at least one of The Great Diamond's pieces, I can help find the rest. When I do, we could try to put them together again, and Krystal just might be able to escape her prison! Sounded like a good plan. I asked her where to start and she pointed me towards the grasslands to the South East, and off we were.
Diadem was such a beautiful place! Everywhere you look and it' s covered in gemstones and giant crystals. I also noticed that there were large metal tubes that jutted out of the ground here and there. Of course that was when I realized that the entire land of Diadem was based on a gigantic chandelier! It was mind blowing! We first went through the Emerald Grasslands where PomPom and I fought this giant mossy stone creature. We then went through an abandoned village made of Amethyst gemstones, it was creepy and full of ghosts, but it was still pretty to look at. In the Sapphire Sea we met this super sweet group of sea turtles that helped us traverse the waters, and later had to save them from this huge and greedy octopus. Next was the scorching Amber Desert, and we found the temple where Tabitha stole the Prism Staff! Speaking of her she showed up to try and stop me from completing Krystal's plan. I have to admit, she didn't look like much when I met her, but wow she put up a fight! After beating her we went on through the Topaz Mountains that was the home to a very rude bird! He even stole the Diamond shards that PomPom and I had collected (and kidnapped Krystal too I guess) and made off with them to his little fort at the mountain peak! Luckily we stopped it and got them back without too much trouble, but that climb was a trip! Our next stop was the Ruby Caldera, which was holding some kind of show or gauntlet for something. I decided to enter the gauntlet only to be ambushed by Tabitha, who sends a swarm of baddies into an arena where I had to fight them all. After I won I was awarded with a Diamond shard! The last area that we looked for shards in was the Turquoise Tundra. Let me tell you, I do NOT do cold very well! But I muscled through and found another shard among a yeti's treasure stash.
Once we had collected as many gem shards that we could find, I noticed that there was one still missing, and through the power of deduction we knew just where to go. We had to sneak back into Diadem's Castle, where Tabitha was. Krystal wasn't all that excited to go back, but PomPom and I reassured her that we would come out of it victorious. Once we got inside the Castle, Tabitha immediately established the defenses and tried to stop us by sending out hordes upon hordes of guards. But I powered through them and we reached the throne room once again, where Tabitha was waiting for us. Tabitha smugly congratulated me on finding the gem shards and commented on my bravery, but once I was distracted by her speech more guards ambushed me and PomPom and retrieved the gem shards we collected! Tabitha then used them along with the one she had on her to restore The Great Diamond, which freed Krystal in the process. As I was helping Krystal get back on her feet, Tabitha revealed her grand plan. By combining the power of The Great Diamond and the Prism Staff, she could recreate the teleportation that had brought me to Diadem, and use it to go through to my world and try to conquer the lands there! She pretty much used me as a tool to find the gem shards instead of her doing it herself!
I was outraged at her! I wanted to slam her upside the head with my wand so hard after I heard what she was doing! Luckily for me Tabitha obliged to a final magic duel and transported us to the Castle roof, thinking she could finish me off before going on her world conquering spree. As we fought again, I could feel that she was a lot stronger than the when I saw her in the desert. She was using a whole slew of spells, from teleportation to summons, she even split herself apart at one point! At the fight's climax though, Krystal managed to slow Tabitha down by praying to The Great Diamond, and I managed to disarm the Prism Staff from Tabitha's hands. Right as I did, Krystal insisted I destroy it to stop Tabitha, but I hesitated slightly. I didn't want to destroy something so precious to Diadem! Krystal begged again and I finally agreed and shattered the gemstone that powered the Prism Staff, reverting all of the damage that Tabitha had done to Diadem as well as restore the gem guards to their proper state of minds.
Once everything was saved and Tabitha was powerless, Krystal did the most amazing thing. She went up to Tabitha, who was wallowing in her sorrow at the moment, and gave her a second chance for redemption. Krystal told Tabitha that she was devastated when she left the Palace, but even though she openly attacked and hurt her, Krystal had the heart to forgive her and still call her a friend. I don't there was a single dry eye in the area when they were done talking! And when the two went in for a hug, PomPom and I could see Tabitha changing, as if she was restored back to her original self. I will never forget that scene for as long as I live.
After celebrating Diadem's liberation and the return of The Great Diamond, it was about time for me and PomPom to head back home. We were sad to go, and I had really hoped we could've seen more of Tabitha's redemption, but we had to. Krystal was sad too, but she then had an idea and asked Tabitha to help her. Taking a shard from the Prism Staff's destroyed gem and manipulating it with her magic, Tabitha was able to make a small charm for me. It looks just like The Great Diamond, sparkle and all! She gave it to me as a way to say thank you and to apologize for her actions. After accepting her apology, PomPom and I were finally ready to go, and Krystal brought us before The Great Diamond, and told us to touch it. As we did, I gave one last look at the two priestesses before my sight was overwhelmed by the white light again.
When the light faded away, we were back on Isle Delfino in my throne room. Once I came back though I was immediately overwhelmed by my butler and nursemaid who were waiting for me to return. Apparently when I first disappeared, they saw it and called my friends to come help find me. And sure enough the rest of my friends come pouring into the throne room worried sick. Turns out we were gone longer than we thought! I then explained everything that happened, I told them about Diadem and Krystal, about Tabitha and The Great Diamond. And just I did I remembered the charm and looked for it; it was safely tucked away in the pocket of my jeans. Once all the drama was over we decided to head to the dining wing to celebrate. As my friends walked away, I gave one last look at the chandelier above me. I could've sworn it was shining and sparkling even brighter than it did before... PomPom and I smiled and ran to catch up with our friends.
Oh jeez sorry for the long post! I got carried away in the moment! I wanted to remember as much as I could so you guys could get the full picture. This adventure will be one I will never forget! Blog ya soon guys!
